BRAINSPOTTING
Our
Story
In 2003, David Grand, PhD, developed Brainspotting as an extension of his work in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. He was inspired by a client who deeply engaged with a particular spot during therapy sessions.
One of the key benefits of Brainspotting therapy is that it allows individuals to release trauma without having to "relive" the experience. This gentle approach makes it an appealing choice for those seeking effective trauma therapy. Brainspotting harnesses the power of visual spots to help individuals access and process trauma trapped in the subcortical brain, responsible for motion, consciousness, emotions, and learning.
This innovative approach provides a unique way to heal, and unlike EMDR therapy, individuals do not need to "relive" the trauma to facilitate its release from the body.
